ラギムシム誕生ストーリー.No1

Ragimsim Birth Story.No1

Today, I'm going to talk about the first days of Ragimushimu (Kana Muraki and Takeshi Higaki). As I look out over the ocean in Odaiba, I whisper, “I will make and sell tsun.” It started when Kana, who was next to me, said, "I'll help you!" (Tsun is the name for pants that hide only the important part of a man.)

It's going to be a story of the day so far.

On that day, Kana called me and said, "I need to talk to you." We will meet on the water bus in Asakusa and head to Odaiba. At that time, it was 2008, about 13.4 years ago. I'm 29 and Kana is 20.
On the water bus, Kana began to cry while staring at the surface of the water. Kana called me to say goodbye. The reason was, "You've changed. You're always tired and it's not fun to be with you."

At that time, I was working at Super Deluxe (an event space in Roppongi). About a year ago, I became a contract employee at Kana's recommendation. I was so tired that I couldn't even say anything interesting, and on the previous Gotemba date, I had a fight saying, "It's like work." I didn't get overwhelmed because it would be solved if I stopped working, but...

By the time the water bus arrived at Odaiba, I had decided to quit my job, so there were no more farewells, and Kana stopped crying and laughed.

Arriving at Odaiba,
Anyway, I was thinking, "What can I do?" and "What do I want to do?"

At that time, I had three options in mind.

First, there was a Sanuki udon restaurant called Yashima in Shibuya at the time, and I often went there because it was delicious. I fell in love with udon and made handmade udon at home, so I became an udon craftsman.

The second is a rocking chair craftsman who is just interested in rocking chairs and has never made one.

Third, I was active in the contemporary art scene with a group called Saruvanilla, doing mixed media art performances following the flow of Ankoku Butoh. At that time, the group had already disbanded and I was doing solo activities. Normally, stage costumes are made by costumers or stylists, but it was Tsun who made the most important parts of his costumes himself. This is the only thing I can make now!

So I decided on Tsun.

Looking at the sea, I mutter, "I'll make and sell Tsun." Kana says, "I'll help you!" and Ragimushim begins. On the day it started, what to do with the name, but that story will be tomorrow.
